The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) is strongly condemning the horrific crime of murdering of Ajmal Naqushbandi an Afghan journalist by Taliban.

The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) offering its condolence to the family as well as the people of Afghanistan for the martyrdom of Ajmal Naqshbandi, is deeply shocked and touched by this incident.

During this year more than 40 cases of beating, insolence, threat, taking hostage, and murdering of journalists in Afghanistan have taken place which is the highest figure of attacks world wide.

The AIHRC calls on the Government of Afghanistan and world society to take necessary measures to ensure the security for journalists in the country.

Moreover, the AIHRC expects that the people of Afghanistan should not let the cruel and terrorist groups use residential areas, mosques and religious and national values aiming at killing civilians and innocent people.
