The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) deeply
regrets the killing and injuries resulting from the traffic accident
today morning, extends its condolences to the victim families, and
strongly condemns the acts of violence and misuse of peoples pure
emotions by a group of opportunists.
While the Commission seriously calls on the Coalition forces and the
Government of Afghanistan to identify and prosecute the perpetrators
of the incident and provide compensation for the victims, it urges
the people, especially Kabul inhabitants, to stay calm for the
countrys safety and stability, and to defy those who cause
sabotage, misuse, and insecurity.
The AIHRC hopes the people of Afghanistan will consciously prevent
acts by those who intend to set our homeland on fire and will
express their objection of such a carelessness of military personal
in peaceful demonstrations.
The Commission appeals to the Government to seriously pursue the
prosecution of the perpetrators of the incident through diplomatic
means.
